The MIUI 12 was launch a day earlier in China, and a new UI brings new spectacular Mars and Earth live wallpapers. So just hours after launch the MIUI Research Team posted about the next major software update to be released in 2021. The team shared on MI about the MIUI 13 software, indicating that the clevelopment of the next generation of already start.
Posting on the Mi Community asked fans to participate in the MIUI 13 feature design survey. The survey asks for personal details such as area of residence and more. And the survey is for the purpose of research only, that the company is in the very early stages of development of MIUI 13 software.

Xiaomi is focusing on releasing beta update of the newly launch MIUI 12 in China. The stable rollout for the first batch of phones so will begin in June, and the time for the second and third batches has not been announced yet.
So MIUI 12 brings with in Dark Mode 2.0 which has a bunch of privacy-related features and other changes. A new Flare feature keeps a tab on all applications permissions.
